Speaking at the ShoWest film convention, studio head Alan Horn revealed that the slate of releases will begin in 2012.
"As we ease out of Harry Potter, we hope to bring you the excitement of the DC [Comics] Library," he said.
The final Harry Potter film arrives in theatres in July next year. The studio is expected to invest heavily in its superhero licences in its wake.
Warner Bros is currently working on a big screen adaptation of Green Lantern, and planning new Batman and Superman projects. Films featuring the Flash, Wonder Woman and the Justice League are expected in the future.
