Kristen Stewart has described the three potential Breaking Dawn directors as "awesome".

Acclaimed filmmakers Sofia Coppola (Lost In Translation), Gus Van Sant (Milk) and Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) were revealed as contenders to helm the final Twilight movie earlier this week.

Speaking to MTV, Stewart expressed her approval of the names being touted for the directing job.

"I didn't know that's out and about. I think it's awesome, I think it's so cool that they're reaching... I think any one of those people will be great," she said.

Asked if she is a fan of Coppola's Oscar-winning Lost In Translation, Stewart replied: "Yeah, I'm a fan, definitely, definitely."

Breaking Dawn, which could be split into two movies, sees Bella Swan fall pregnant by her vampire lover Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). The book is the most controversial in the Stephenie Meyer series, featuring a bloody birth scene and werewolf Jacob "imprinting" on Bella's child Renesmee.
