The director of Chloe has described Liam Neeson as "heroic".

According to the New York Daily News, Atom Egoyan was impressed when Neeson returned to work following the tragic death of his wife Natasha Richardson.

"We tried to protect him," Egoyan said. "No-one knew when exactly he was coming back. But he was nothing less than heroic."

Meanwhile, Neeson's co-star Amanda Seyfried added: "Nobody forced him to come back. No-one tried to talk to him about what happened. He's an amazing man."
