Timothy Dalton boards Jolie, Depp film

Timothy Dalton has been added to the cast of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp's The Tourist.

The ex-007 actor and Steven Berkoff are new recruits for the film, which also features Paul Bettany and Rufus Sewell in supporting roles. Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (The Lives Of Others) is directing.

The story, based on the French film Anthony Zimmer, is about an American tourist who is used by a woman to flush a criminal she had an affair with out of hiding.

Production on the film was reportedly shut down in Venice last week after the location became overrun with fans wanting to take pictures.
