Stephen Daldry linked to 'Breaking Dawn'

Director Stephen Daldry has reportedly been approached about helming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

Daldry joins the list of potential helmers Summit Entertainment has reached out to regarding the project, including Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola and Bill Condon, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The Oscar-nominated filmmaker's movies include The Reader, The Hours and Billy Elliot.

Breaking Dawn, which could be split into two parts, is the final chapter in the Twilight film series.

Formal offers to the directors will be made once screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg's outline has been turned in.
