The musician has written songs for the lead character's fictional band Sex Bob-Omb, reports Pitchfork.
"The two songs in the trailer are both new ones by Beck," wrote series author Bryan Lee O'Malley on Twitter.
"Beck did some songs based on some crappy fake lyrics I made up."
Scott Pilgrim is the guitarist of the band, whose song lyrics appear several times in the books.
Scott Pilgrim vs the World will debut on August 13.
