Anna Faris for 'Private Benjamin' remake

According to The Hollywood Reporter, New Line is in talks with Amy Talkington (Valley Girl) to pen the script. The project is the latest Warner Bros update from New Line, following National Lampoon's Vacation and Police Academy.
The original movie, which was nominated for three Oscars, featured Hawn playing a spoiled woman who ends up signing up for the army after her rich husband dies on their wedding night.
Faris's other upcoming projects include comedies The Bachelorette Party and What's Your Number?.
