The film began production yesterday in London, reports Deadline Hollywood.
Collette and Gruffudd play a married couple struggling to adopt after their son is killed. One day a mysterious child arrives at their doorstep.
Jonathan Newman is directing the project, based on his 2005 short film of the same name.
Deepak Nayar and Peter Farrelly are producing.
The movie also stars Richard E. Grant, Hayley Mills and Anne Reid.
