The Oscar-winning director of The Cove will join the film's writer Mark Monroe in co-directing the new project.
The helmers will follow 20 people across the globe, including a death row inmate and a wealthy home-buying couple.
A total of 20 cameras (one for each person) will follow all those featured as they make life-affecting decisions.
The production is to be released in theatres in 2011.
