The Harry Potter star, who appears alongside Kimberley Nixon in new film Cherrybomb, explained that he had worked on the scenes in a room full of men.
"I had my first sex scene and it was a traumatic experience," he told The Sun. "But Kimberley found it a lot more embarrassing. I think it's easier for boys.
"It was her first too so we were in the same situation. It's just such a weird thing anyway being in a room of 12 men."
However, Grint revealed that he had enjoyed working on the movie, explaining: "When we were filming we were drinking every night. It helped the bonding."
Cherrybomb is scheduled for release on April 23.
