Brook will star alongside Richard Dreyfuss and Elisabeth Shue in the movie, which is scheduled for release in August.
According to The Mirror, she said: "It's just a big, fun B-movie - lots of boobs, blood, gore and drama. I don't think I'll be getting any Oscars for it.
"In Piranha, there's lots of cool people. It's about a lot of fish that eat a lot of buff boys and big-boobied girls. It's all set during spring break."
Brook added that she landed the part after director Alexandra Aja approached her while she was out.
"I was sitting in a restaurant and the director came up and said, 'I think you'll be right for this movie I'm doing'," she explained. "And then when I read the script I thought, 'Oh, yeah, thanks, it's not really a compliment'."
Brook also admitted that she is hoping to star in more movies in the future, explaining: "I'd love to do more films. I really enjoy it. I love working in Los Angeles, and I like working on films."
