Ryan Reynolds joins 'R.I.P.D.' cast

Speaking to Collider, producer Neal Moritz revealed that the X-Men Origins: Wolverine star will take on the lead role in the forthcoming film.
Reynolds will appear as a recently-deceased police officer who investigates his own death with the help of the Rest in Peace Department.
The film is based on a four-issue miniseries written by screenwriter Peter Lenkov (Demolition Man, 24).
Production is due to begin on the film next year following the completion of Reynolds's work on the Green Lantern movie.
