Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov is attached to direct 3D thriller Red Asphalt, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Bekmambetov is currently circling a number of projects – including genre films The Darkest Hour, The Casebook of Victor Frankenstein and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - but the filmmaker is reportedly "keen" on helming and producing Asphalt.
The movie, scripted by Andrew Baldwin, is described as an edgy thriller.
There is currently no production date attached to the Lionsgate project.
