The Australian singer, whose single 'Can't Touch It' was used for the second half of the trailer alongside Jay-Z and Alicia Keys's 'Empire State of Mind', said that she hopes that her inclusion on the soundtrack will help her launch her US music career.
Coulter told The Daily Telegraph: "This is just such a huge opportunity. I am so excited. The song is about me and my best friend going out for a night out in New York, not needing the guys, and just having a great night.
"We went into a club in New York, we were all dressed up, we were getting a little bit of attention from the guys, and it was just one of those songs. It is so perfect for the movie. As a massive fan of the show, to have my song part of all that is an amazing feeling.
"The hardest part of this whole thing is that I have not been able to say anything to anyone. When I found out, it was surreal, it was this dream come true, I wanted to tell everyone about it, but I had to keep quiet.
"In the past six months we have had a lot of activity, certainly more than usual, from the US. We have had DJs, producers, publishers and other artists really interested in my music and one of those was [movie studio] Warner Brothers."
