Published Wednesday, May 25 2005, 19:21 BST | By Daniel Saney
Scenes for The Da Vinci Code will be shot in Lincoln Cathedral.

Unable to use Westminster Abbey for the Dan Brown adaptation, Ron Howard has set his sights on the building in a deal rumoured to be worth £100,000, reports itv.com.

Also on the list of filming locations is the Louvre museum in Paris, where filming will begin on June 30.

Cast members confirmed for the movie include Tom Hanks, Jean Reno, Sir Ian McKellen and Alfred Molina.
