David Dobkin (The Wedding Crashers) is still attached to make the film, which is based in the '60s TV series about spies Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin and the United Network Command for Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.).
Robert Vaughn and David McCallum starred in the show as two agents fighting against evil organisation T.H.R.U.S.H. (Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity).
The original espionage series, which debuted at the height of James Bond's popularity, ran from 1964 to 1968. The characters were later brought back for 1983 reunion TV movie The Return Of The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
