Martin Scorsese will film his next movie The Invention Of Hugo Cabret in 3D, says Variety.

The project, based on Brian Selznick's best-selling children's book, revolves around a 12-year-old orphan who lives in a Paris train station and attempts to repair a robot man.

Kick-Ass star Chloe Moretz, Asa Butterfield, Sir Ben Kingsley and Sacha Baron Cohen are among the cast for the Sony Pictures movie.

Hugo Cabret will be Scorsese's first kid's film and his first to be released in 3D. Production begins in London this summer for a December 9, 2011 release.
