Jake Gyllenhaal to star in 'Namath'?

Gyllenhaal was linked to the biopic about American footballer Joe Namath in 2007 but production was halted for undisclosed reasons.
Director Jame Mangold recently said that he was interested in revitalising the project and is free to start work on the film in mid-July, when Gyllenhaal's schedule is similarly open.
The movie will follow Namath's beginnings in the rural South and trace his rise to fame.
A production schedule for the film has yet to be released.
