Summit denies replacing 'Eclipse' director
Published Thursday, Apr 15 2010, 10:37 BST | By Simon Reynolds

Reports recently surfaced claiming that Slade's relationship with the studio had "deteriorated to the point that they were actually considering hiring someone else to reshoot in Vancouver". New Moon helmer Chris Weitz and Twilight's Catherine Hardwicke had been touted as potential directors for the additional scenes.
However, Gossip Cop confirmed with Summit reps that Slade will be back to film the reshoots and producers are "very happy" with the direction Eclipse is taking.
Summit added that "none of the meadow or action scenes are being reshot", and "very little" extra work has to be done.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is out in the US on June 30 and July 9 in the UK.
