According to Deadline, the Spider-Man actress is taking the part that Penelope Cruz was eyeing before she joined Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Dunst joins Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland, Charlotte Rampling, Alexander Skarsgaard, Stellan Skarsgaard and Udo Kier in director Von Trier's sci-fi disaster movie.
The picture will begin production in July in southern Sweden.
