Sam Claflin lands key 'Pirates 4' role

The 23-year-old will play "the key role of Philip, a youthful missionary," in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, according to the studio.
Claflin joins another recent cast addition, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, in the swashbuckling sequel.
Johnyy Depp, Penélope Cruz, Ian McShane, Geoffrey Rush and Stephen Graham have also agreed to appear in the picture, directed by Rob Marshall and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom have opted not to reprise their roles from the previous Pirates films.
Production begins in June for a May 2011 release.
