Pam Grier boards 'Larry Crowne' cast

Grier posted the news on her Twitter account last weekend.
"Tom Hanks just asked me to play Julia Roberts best friend in his new film he is starring, writing, and directing, titled Larry Crowne. OMGDS (sic)," the 60-year-old actress tweeted.
Hanks is writing, directing and starring in the picture about a man who experiences a mid-life crisis.
Crowne will feature a large ensemble cast including Bryan Cranston, Taraji P. Henson, George Takei, Wilmer Valderrama, Peter Scolari, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jon Seda and Cedric the Entertainer.
Production is to begin later this month.
