M Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender has been confirmed for a 3D release.
The Paramount film will be reformatted for 3D in time for its July 2 US debut date, reports Slash Film. The finished film will be converted using a similar method to this month's Clash Of The Titans remake.
Last Airbender producer Frank Marshall recently wrote on his Twitter account about using the latest technology, saying: "Looking at 3D test... Looking at 3D for various projects, I think it's here to stay, but not right for all movies... So far, feels like it's better to shoot in 3D rather than convert."
Noah Ringer, Jackson Rathbone, Dev Patel and Cliff Curtis star in The Last Airbender, which is based on the Nickelodeon animated TV series.
