Adam McKay to direct 'The Boys'?

Anchorman director Adam McKay is reportedly attached to helm the movie version of comic book series The Boys.

According to A Nightmare On Elm Street director Samuel Bayer, the film's producers are eyeing McKay to direct the upcoming feature.

"It's so funny, I would die to do that comic book. From what I've heard from the producers on the movie is that Adam McKay is doing it," Bayer told Film School Rejects.

The Boys, created by Garth Ennis and Darrick Robertson, centres on a CIA black ops team that monitors all superhero activity.

McKay's comedy The Other Guys opens August 6 in US cinemas.
