Fox to remake action movie 'Commando'

Writer and director David Ayer is reportedly writing and directing a remake of action film Commando for 20th Century Fox.

The original 1985 movie starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as a retired elite commando on a mission to rescue his daughter (Alyssa Milano) from an exiled dictator.

Ayer, who wrote Training Day and Street Kings, will put a real-world spin on his version, reports Deadline.

It is said that Ayer's new hero will be more skilled in weaponry and covert tactics than the character played by Schwarzenegger.
