Rockwell, Long to play Batman and Robin

Sam Rockwell will star as Batman in Peter Farrelly's as yet untitled comedy anthology movie, reports Production Weekly.

Rockwell will spoof the caped crusader in the short segment titled Robin's Big Speed Date for director James Duffy. Joining the Moon star is Justin Long playing Robin, Josh Hamilton as Superman, Leslie Bibb as Wonder Woman and John Hodgeman as villain The Penguin.

A 2007 short from Duffy, Robin's Big Date, also featured Rockwell and Long as the comic book duo. The 7-minute comedy saw Batman unwittingly sabotage sidekick Robin's date.

Kate Winslet, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber, Gerard Butler, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are also lined up to appear, with Farrelly, Elizabeth Banks, Bob Odenkirk and Brett Ratner directing sections of the ensemble film.
