Tim Robbins is reportedly in final talks to star in political thriller Hot Stuff.

The story, about South Africa's apartheid, is written by Shawn Slovo, daughter of anti-apartheid activist Ruth First and Joe Slovo of the African National Congress.

Phillip Noyce (Rabbit-Proof Fence; The Quiet American) will direct the feature.

Robbins, who will play a policeman in the movie, can soon be seen in Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds.
