John Woo takes on new thriller

John Woo has signed to produce and direct a thriller for Bristol Bay Productions, according to Variety.
Penned by Don MacPherson (Jonathan Wild; Brighton Rock), the as-yet untitled movie will be shot in Beijing and will deal with the clash between communism and capitalism and the emergence of China as an economic superpower.
The plot will follow the troubles of an American who becomes embroiled in a shady underworld supporting the new Chinese economy and government officials.
