Gone With The Wind's"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" has topped a list of the best American film lines.

The line, spoken by Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) to Scarlett O'Hara (Vivien Leigh) in the 1939 movie, topped the American Film Institute list for the organisation's annual special.

Marlon Brando was the voice behind the second and third lines - "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse" (The Godfather) and "I coulda been a contender" (On The Waterfront).
