According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comic actors are joining a cast that includes Danny McBride and Aziz Ansari.
The movie centres on a high school teacher (Ansari) and a pizza delivery man who are forced by villains to rob a bank while one of them wears an explosive vest. McBride will play one of the men involved in the plot.
Pena will portray a tattooed assassin and Swardson will play McBride's friend.
Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer is helming the picture, which is scheduled to begin production this summer.
