According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brody will play the lead in Allen's romantic comedy Midnight in Paris.
The Oscar-winner joins Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates and Michael Sheen in the project.
France's first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has also officially joined the cast.
Filming is scheduled to begin this summer.
