Hannah Murray has said that she feels excited about her first visit to the Cannes Film Festival and is honoured to star in a film being screened there.

The former Skins actress features in Hideo Nakata's Chatroom, which premiered at the festival and is up for the Certain Regard prize.

Murray told DS: "I didn't expect the film to be in the festival, it wasn't anything that anyone said might happen, so that's been a massive surprise in itself."

When asked if Chatroom could win in its section, she added: "I'm really honoured that the film's come this far.

"I haven't seen any of the other films in the competition, so I don't know if we have a chance. It would be great, but this is enough - I'm really pleased already."
