Rob Reiner is reportedly attached to produce a remake of 1991 comedy Soapdish for Paramount.
The new version will feature Latino actors and take place on the set of a telenovela, according to Pajiba.
The original movie exposed the behind-the-scenes chaos on the set of an American soap opera. It starred Sally Field, Robert Downey Jr., Whoopi Goldberg, and Cathy Moriarty.
Production and cast details for the update have not been released.
