Barry Manilow wants to make a movie version of his Copacabana musical.
The musical itself was based upon Manilow's '70s hit of the same name, telling a tale of love, jealousy and murder between characters Tony, Lola (a showgirl) and Rico.
Manilow hopes that Jamie Foxx will play the part of Tony Parker.
Moviehole.net quotes him as saying: "The whole concept is ready to go, but as yet Jamie is tied up with Miami Vice. With him on board we'll have a smash-hit film."
