Corbett: 'I kept SATC role a secret'

John Corbett has revealed that he initially kept his role in Sex And The City 2 a secret from his mother.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, the actor admitted that he lied about his involvement in the film not only out of contractual obligation, but because he feared that she would tell all of her friends.

"I told my mother I was going to Ireland for a little vacation for two weeks and she bought it, because I had to," he said.

"Plus, she's just - she's got a big yapper. She would have called everybody, and we got away with it. We really got away with it."

Corbett recently revealed that Sarah Jessica Parker was responsible for convincing him to reprise his role as Aidan.
