Facinelli 'clocked Reed filming Twilight'

Nikki Reed has revealed that Twilight co-star Peter Facinelli accidentally "clocked" her during filming.

The actress - who plays Rosalie Hale in the vampire series - told Digital Spy that it happened while the she was filming one of the movie's action sequences with Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen).

"Peter was describing something to the director and because of those contact [lenses] we don't have any peripheral vision and he swung his arms open and clocked me right in the forehead!" she explained.

"I was dizzy and went to sit down and he kept talking. He didn't even realise he did it! Someone said, 'Do you realise you just hit Nikki?' He said, 'Oh my God, I thought that was a tree!' It just happens."

Co-star Kellan Lutz previously admitted to accidentally knocking out screen brother Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale), joking that the pair had their "little oopsy daisy moments" on set.

The Twilight: Saga: Eclipse is in US cinemas now and is released in the UK on July 9.
