'Twilight' stars snub UK 'Eclipse' premiere

The trio will instead record a video message for British fans attending the July 1 event at London's Leicester Square.
A statement from Eclipse's UK distributor E1 Entertainemnt revealed that franchise stars Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), Nikki Reed (Rosalie Cullen), Alex Meraz (Paul), Booboo Stewart (Seth Clearwater) and Xavier Samuel (Riley) will all be present at the premiere.
"Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) and Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) will not be far away with specially recorded video messages for their UK fans," the press release added.
Pattinson is currently busy shooting his latest film Water For Elephants in Los Angeles, while it is unclear why Stewart or Lautner will not be attending.
Eclipse will open in the UK July 9, with special advance screenings on July 3 and 4. The movie opens in the US on June 30.
