Hollywood plans two 9/11 movies

Two films recounting the events of 9/11 and the collapse of the Twin Towers are in the pipeline.
The first, as-yet-untitled movie will be directed by Oliver Stone and star Nicolas Cage with a script written by Andrea Berloff. It will portray the disaster through focusing on two police officers, Will Jimeno and Jon McLoughlin, responsible for rescuing survivors from the collapsing buildings who then became trapped themselves.
Next, Columbia have plans to adapt Jim Dwyer and Kevin Flynn’s book 102 Minutes, chronicling the rescue attempts carried out by emergency services from when the first plane struck at 8.46 and the collapse of the first of the Twin Towers at 10.28. The script is being written by Shattered Glass writer and director Billy Ray.
