Bernal: 'I don't want to be pigeonholed'

Gael García Bernal has said that he does not want to be typecast in his movie roles.

The Mexican star of Babel and The Motorcycle Diaries appears alongside Amanda Seyfried in upcoming romantic drama Letters To Juliet.

Bernal told Metro: "I don't want to be pigeonholed as the Latino."

Discussing the role of Victor in Letters To Juliet, he added: "The part was fun to do. I hope that the film shows this. But, no, it wasn't very demanding."

Of the possibility of doing more US studio films in the future, Bernal said: "I just hope to do good movies, wherever they're from."
