Owen Wilson to play Walter Mitty

Owen Wilson is in final talks to star in a Mark Waters-directed adaptation of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on the 1939 James Thurber story, the film will tell the story of a man (Wilson) whose habitual daydreaming relieves the boredom of his day-to-day life.
The book was previously brought to the screen in 1947 by Danny Kaye, although this version, penned by Richard LaGravenese, will remain more faithful to the source material than to Kaye's film.
