Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replaced Fox as LaBeouf's character's love interest in the upcoming sequel.
"I love Megan and I miss the girl, but Sam and Mikaela became one character, and here... you have discovery again from a new perspective," the 23-year-old told USA Today.
LaBeouf also revealed that Transformers 3 features a definitive end for the film series.
"As a trilogy, it really ends. It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending," he said.
