He wrote: "Huge news today!!!! Just officially got cast in Scream 4!!!! Today is always the best day of my life."
Tortorella also has an upcoming role in teen drug drama Twelve.
Scream 4 will feature Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Lake Bell and Hayden Panettiere alongside returning cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette.
