Cruise prevents Holmes taking film role

Tom Cruise has prevented fiancée Katie Holmes from starring as drug addict Edie in a new film because it would destroy her image.
Talking of the film, Factory Girl, a source told the New York Post: "Edie was in and out of mental institutions and on all sorts of psychotropic drugs. Tom doesn't believe in those drugs because of his belief in Scientology."
Another insider added: "Tom didn't want her to take the role because it portrayed her as a victim and he said she should only take strong roles."
A representative for Holmes, however, denied the claims: "Katie is not attached to that project."
