A film telling the story of Notorious B.I.G is on the way from Fox Searchlight Pictures.
Variety reports that Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) is in talks to direct the feature about the rapper, a.k.a. Biggie Smalls and Christopher Wallace, who was shot dead at the age of 24 in March 1997 at a Vibe magazine afterparty.
The film is being produced by his mother, Voletta Wallace, and his former managers, Wayne Barrow and Mark Pitts.
The script is being written by Cheo Hodari Coker, a former journalist for Vibe magazine and The New York Times who was the last person to interview Wallace. He also wrote the biography Unbelievable: The Life, Death, and Afterlife of the Notorious B.I.G.
