The Twilight actor plays Georges Duroy in the upcoming period drama, a ruthless social climber who has an affair with Uma Thurman's wealthy Madeleine Forestier.
"I think there's a lot of my crack in it. I think there's quite a bit of nudity," the actor told MTV.
Pattinson added that the movie is "such a strange story. I think it will turn out to be very interesting, but I have no idea about any of it yet".
Kristin Scott Thomas, Christina Ricci, Colm Meaney, Philip Glenister and Holliday Grainger are also among the cast for Bel Ami.
