The No Country For Old Men actor co-starred in the hit 1985 film with Corey Feldman and Sean Astin.
Speaking to Extra, the Oscar nominee said that there are currently no plans to make a Goonies follow-up.
"I saw [the film's producer] Steven Spielberg on the street about a month and a half ago, and I asked the reality. I hear there is a script, yes, but there's no talk about doing a 'Goonies' sequel at this very moment," Brolin said.
He added: "And that's the first time I've been truthful about that answer... ever."
Brolin will next be seen in Jonah Hex, opening June 18 in US cinemas.
