David Yates not offered 'The Hobbit'?

A representative for the filmmaker denied an earlier report claiming that Yates was in line to steer the two-part J.R.R. Tolkien adaptation.
Yates's CAA rep told The Wrap that the speculation is "not true at all".
Lord Of The Rings trilogy director Peter Jackson, who is producing the prequel, has admitted that he is considering returning to make The Hobbit following the departure of Oscar nominee Guillermo del Toro.
Brett Ratner and David Dobkin are also said to be in the running to helm the films.
