Stephen Fry and Andy Serkis have joined Stormbreaker, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Geoffrey Sax is directing from a screenplay by Anthony Horowitz based on the latter's series of novels about a teenage spy.

Serkis (The Lord of the Rings) will play the henchman of villainous Darrius Sayle (Mickey Rourke), whilst Fry will portray Smithers, MI6's gadgetry man.

Also featuring in the movie are Ewan McGregor, Bill Nighy, Alicia Silverstone and Sophie Okonedo.
