The actor, who is currently promoting the third movie in The Twilight Saga, made the admission to MTV News.
"I saw an earlier cut, and I liked what happened in the tent scene when I saw it but we reshot it, so I'm not sure what the new one is like. So maybe on the DVD you'll have the old tent scene," he said.
When asked what had been changed, Pattinson replied: "Just the staging was different. I think they tried to make it more erotic."
Elizabeth Reaser, who stars as Pattinson's on-screen adopted vampire mother Esme, admitted that she was excited about seeing the scene.
"The tent scene is a sort of a three-way - I mean, it's a chaste three-way, but it is, nonetheless, a three-way," she said. "I remember that being one of the hottest scenes in the books, so I'm excited to see that."
