The Mark Gordon Company (The Messenger, 2012) is producing the project, based on the 1991 movie starring Christina Applegate.
The original film starred Applegate as the eldest sister in a family who support her siblings after their mother leaves on a three-month vacation and their babysitter dies of a heart attack.
The film is currently looking for writers, reports Pajiba.
